I'm not seeing anything when I follow the DebugginKernelSuspend link.
dmesg doesn't seem to be capturing the attempted resume at all, just my
forced restart after resume fails. Also, I've tried sshing it, so it's
not a graphics thing.

This also seems to be happening to me, in a current, updated ubuntu.

Did the machine lock up, did any messages come out? If it is
reproducible could you try the suspend from VT1, press ctrl-alt-F1,
login, and run pm-suspend there. If you could test and report back here
that would be helpful. Finally it is worth checking out the debugging
