I have a Gigabyte P35-DS3R motherboard. It has two RAID chipsets: jmicron and Intel. The jmicron chipset is turned off and I'm only using the Intel ICH9R chipset. I have never had any problems with RAID 0 in Ubuntu 8.10. Just a note, I also had this memory corruption error when installing Ubuntu 9
