Gosh, I'm terribly sorry, I did prepare an update and tested it, but
apparently something went wrong during the upload.

I experience this problem as well, on two systems with fairly different setups.
It only started after yesterday's updates, and it is not kernel-related, as I
use a vanilla 2.6.29-rc7.

I have this problem too.
Jaunty Alpha 4 updated daily.
This happened after updates today (5th March 2009). There was a kernel update
included in these updates.
usplash: no usable theme found for 1024x768
uname -a
Linux hoss 2.6.28-8-generic #27-Ubuntu SMP Thu Mar 5 00:30:14 UTC 2009 x86_64
I've tried update-initramfs -u, didn't help.
All the symlinks to usplash-artwork.so are OK
cat /etc/usplash.conf
# Usplash configuration file
# These parameters will only apply after running update-initramfs.
xres=1280
yres=800
My LCD has native resolution of 1280x800, so why is usplash
