This most likely was caused by an in-development mismatch within the python
stack, so I am closing this bug report.
Should you still experience this bug, please feel free to reopen it and provide

It happened to me after todays upgrade, too (Kubuntu 9.04 i386).
It could be because of python version installed:
python 2.6.1-0ubuntu9
python2.6 2.6.2~rc1-0ubuntu1
python-kde4 4:4.2.2-0ubuntu2

For what it's worth:
I had the same problem till someone suggested I should reinstall
python-qt4-dbus. I did, using the same version (4.4.4-2ubuntu5) from another
mirror and the bug is gone.
