Can confirm this on i386. It seems to be working again after doing a
manual
sudo aptitude upgrade
I guess this can be closed as Fix Released?

Thanks, yes, this should be closed now as it was fixed after updating
update-manager

I then updated from the command line (apt-get update ... etc) and then
the package manager worked OK.
So, yes, after manually updating using sudo apt-get update sudo apt-
get upgrade it worked OK.
