Hello,
Not sure if this bug is still valid for 9.04, but it still shows up for me on

My comment was not very informative...
The screen stays black, and the wifi light does not come back on when
suspending to the live CD, Karmic, Alpha3.

Hi Robert,
Care to test and confirm if this issue remains with the latest Karmic
9.10 Alpha development release of Ubuntu. ISO CD images are available
from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/ . You should be able to test
suspend using a LiveCD. Please let us know your results. Thanks.

Hello all,
Please see bug # 326988.
To solve this bug, and the one listed above, I did the following:
Changed the memory settings in my BIOS to be "Sideport" only, thus removing the
shared memory usage for the on board ATI 200m video card. Doing so solved this
bug.
I can now suspend and resume
Not fixed for me, either.

This happened to me on an HP Pavilion zv6130us. Resume worked fine the
time before, but I may have installed updates since then.
If I understand the error correctly, #343037, #348809, #344720, and
#342787 are duplicates of this bug.

This hang occurs each time the machine is resumed from suspend.
The machine turns on, but the screen and wifi light remain dark. performing
ctrl-alt-f* buttons do nothing.
It can be repeated, and occurs each time.
One important note, this did not occur two revisions of the Kernel ago.
