To manage notifications
I'm using ubuntu 64 bits and having the same problem as reported. Tried
to install easycam but can't find a working repo. Could anybody give me
advice?

I confirmed the webcam works fine in 64-bit and 32-bit Jaunty alpha 6.
It just wasn't detected by the F-Spot program (which may not be designed
for use with webcams anyway). Feel free to close this bug report.

I may have jumped the gun on this one. I'm back in Ubuntu 8.10 and the
webcam is working fine. I'll try the jaunty cd again later and see if
its really working there too.
