Public bug reported: In Ubuntu 8.10 there were presented two env vars: QT_IM_MODULE=xim GTK_IM_MODULE=scim-bridge (Here you can see default values) It seems that compose key doesn't work with such an input method in Qt applications. I have experienced it with Opera web browser, but then discovered it in K3b.
Possible workaround is to change the value of QT_IM_MODULE to empty string. I don't really understand how it works, but it works for Opera at least. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: compose qt -- Compose Key doesn't work in Qt apps with default input method (xim) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/342208 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
