I can confirm this with Phonon 4.3.1, though with a development version of
Phonon 4.4 I can happily say that this is no longer an issue. :)
Expect to see it with KDE 4.4. (The [] issue is fixed too. Bonus!)

I can confirm this bug. It's really anoing since it applies to other
character like [] as well.
