Binary package hint: yelp

My other PC, an Hewlet Packard 753, uses an Intell i82845G video.
Since one year I can not use neither Ubuntu 8.04 or 8,10 and now Ubuntu 9.04 on 
this PC.
This is due to the use of the i845 chipset. I had not any problem up to release 
7.10.
Any prospect that sanity will be back?.
