With current Intrepid, I can choose other directories using the Browse
button, so I guess the bug can be closed now.

You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in

This now works as the developers intend - you must open a directory from
the Browse window (with no files showing), and the icons will be
displayed in the "Browse icons" window.
