This now works.
I tried what the initial bug reported in an up to date Hardy and it
worked just fine. I'm not using fglrx nor nvidia tough.
Please try in Hardy and mark this as fixed as appropriate.

No, it isn't.
I don't have nvidia card and it's not possible to use FUSA because it crash in
the first switch.

I think it was Bug #88152, and I suppose it is a bug in the nvidia-glx
driver.
Maybe this is a duplicate?

Hi, I had a similar problem and i overcame it by changing from beryl to
metacity, its like it only crashes for me if im using beryl in user 1.
user 2 i havnt messed with yet so its using metacity anyway. but it lets
me fast user switch.

Running feisty. I don't know if it's the same bug, but my system hangs
when I do this:
- I login as user A
- I use the Switch user... option to go back to the login window.
- Then I login as user B
- Now if I want to go back to user A, I select Switch user... again, but then I
get a black
