Seeing the same issue with 2.6.28-11-generic in Jaunty upgraded from
Intrepid. Forces me to restart every time wifi connection dies, since
rmmod, modprobe not possible. It used to die occasionally in Intrepid
too, but there rmmod worked.

I also have problem after upgrade to kernel version 2.6.27-14 in Intrepid, but
with rt73usb (tested with Asus WL-167g and D-Link DWA-110 adapters)
Sometimes system locks up: no new programs can be launched, no new logins can
be done, gui tools, including shutdown, can't be used, ctrl+alt+del from
magic keys don't seems to allows the reboot - so I made a picture of the
console:

Right now iwl3945 is blacklisted on my box (so it won't show up in
dmesg) - will rerun logs if needed
