Thanks for your work on this Michael. Just a small heads-up: for packages that just need a rebuild and no other changes (so are basically unmodified from the Debian version), we use debian_revisionbuild1 and just do the changelog entry. So I went ahead and did that and removed the debian/control

Thanks Daniel. Stupid thing is I know that, but in this case forgot. So I know you only change the maintainer field when doing a change to the package for ubuntu. Do you mean I can drop the changed maintainer field changelog entry in this case as well? Also wasn't exactly sure how to link this

Mentioning the maintainer change in debian/changelog is unnecessary - we do it everytime we change a package from Debian the first time. That's why 'update-maintainer' (from ubuntu-dev-tools) does not put anything in the changelog any more. :-) -- Rebuild required due to new openmpi 1.3 causing
