Public bug reported: Binary package hint: tinysnmp-agent
Description: Ubuntu 8.04.2 (Hardy) Release: 8.04 /etc/tinysnmp.conf "allow" parameter does not work properly when hostname (e.g. cacti.foonetworks.net) is specified. Host with tinysnmp-agent installed is able to ping cacti.foonetworks.net (network and DNS both OK). Workaround is to specify IP address of cacti.foonetworks.net instead of hostname. ** Affects: tinysnmp (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: tinysnmp ** Description changed: Binary package hint: tinysnmp-agent Description: Ubuntu 8.04.2 (Hardy) Release: 8.04 - Binary package: tinysnmp-agent /etc/tinysnmp.conf "allow" parameter does not work properly when hostname (e.g. cacti.foonetworks.net) is specified.
