This is still happening with 3.0.11. The first page to pop up is
http://www.mozilla.org/projects/firefox/3.0.11/whatsnew/, which doesn't
exist. Any hints on where to even look for this incorrect URL could be
coming from?

This affects me too. And I'm guessing it affects almost everyone. But
then why aren't there a million duplicates to this bug? Please fix this,
it makes Ubuntu look unprofessional. Just a minor annoyance, but an
annoyance just the same.
