Public bug reported: If I mute the audio in Ubuntu 8.10 and then reboot (leaving the audio muted) the audio is still muted after that - everything is working as it should. But if i want to unmute it, it does actually unmute the audio but sets the volume to zero (same effect as mute -> see screenshot). Clicking mute again, mutes the sound with volume still at zero. I have to manually increase the volume in order to get sound working again. Note: This behaviour does only occur after rebooting with sound muted. I have installed the latest patches and btw i noticed this bug in earlier version of Ubuntu, afair it existed since Gutsy.
