Ok, I rebuilt locally with and without -updates enabled and translations are created just fine, so it should not be from changes introduced in the packages. I then checked the build logs from soyuz and it looks like the translations were not done properly. -- wesnoth 1:1.4.5-1ubuntu0.2 english

Talked to the soyuz folks, and this is due to translations mistakenly being stripped after the build for packages in universe, which don't have langpacks. They are going to fix that, after which I will reupload new packages to get the translations back. ** Summary changed: - wesnoth
