Got this fixed already. I had some packages installed locally with ghc- pkg, Carefully removing those packages fixed the problem. ** This bug is no longer a duplicate of bug 288273 xmonad unable to compile config file ** Changed in: xmonad (Ubuntu) Status: New = Invalid -- regression
