I have upgraded to Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic beta.
With the latest nvidia driver things are stable now. I have used it for
about a week and suspend/resume works fine.

Hi Nikolay,
Just want to check back up with this bug. Care to test the latest
Karmic 9.10 Alpha development release of Ubuntu. ISO CD images are
available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/ . You should be able
to test suspend using a LiveCD. Please let us know your results. Thanks.

Regarding the snapshot, should these messages be somewhere in /var/log?

No. Over 2 months with Jaunty, and 1-2 suspend/resume cycles per day,
this crash only happened 2 or 3 times. The only special circumstance I
