We didn't take any minutes, if that is what you mean. Essentially it was
decided to use this icon as it was better than the alternatives. I can
see the evident issues with this but for now the decision sticks (until
we have something better)

Kenneth, are there any details of this decision? Specifically I'd like
to check where it was decided to use this icon.
It seems to me it's ok to use the metaphor of Power button to mean
logout or switch user (albeit weird), but it's not ok to use this
metaphor twice in the same menu; e.g. in my

This was a design decision from the Canonical design team. Not that it
is perfect, but it was decided to be better than the alternatives

I can confirm the bug.
The new fusa version that is proposed for jaunty is also affected.
(2.24.0-0ubuntu10)
(The bug seems to be unrelated to fusa because the gnome logout screen
has the same icon)
