Why is this "incomplete" and set to expire? The bug is still present,
and a patch is available to fix it.

The bug is still present in gutsy.
I still am not able to connect to the wireless network with EAP-FAST
authentication out of the box.

i haven't checked it out in a while, to be honest. i was having trouble
with wpasupplicant not dealing with hidden ssids, so i haven't gotten
back to this issue. but if EAP-FAST is still not natively supported by
Ubuntu, then i think that's a problem. EAP-FAST is in use in enterprise
environment
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been
any activity in it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue
