acpi-support is not responsible for handling these hotkeys in jaunty,
they are handled through the kernel input event layer.
It is likely that the bug you're describing is the same as bug number
95444. Can you please verify whether you have the latest versions of
the hal and smartdimmer packages installed, and that you have done any
indicated restarts? If you still see the problem with the current
versions of these packages, please walk through
