Public bug reported:

I'm using ubuntu 9.04 with the lastest fglrx driver.

When I set the resolution to 1680*1050 I get some display errors, such
as notification that are showed half-size because of the presence of
black strips on the screen. When I log in, the screen size seems bigger
than what is displayed on the screen: when I point the mouse arrow on
the farthest point to the right, the screen "moves" along with my mouse,
so I point on the other size it returns to the correct display size.
Anyway, notifications are always showed half-size.

** Affects: fglrx-installer (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: Incomplete
