Public bug reported: Shortly after a boot up of Ubuntu Netbook Remix 9.04 beta the vertical scroll ability of the touchpad no longer functions. I can scroll up and down for what seems like about a minute or so and then I can't. I have seen this when scrolling pages in Firefox and emails in Thunderbird. The actual app doesn't seem to matter.
The touchpad still functions otherwise. I can move the cursor and tap to click, etc. I kept the log viewer open and watched for new entries to appear when scrolling failed. I did not see any new entries. I had this same problem with the Jaunty Alpha 5, 6 and UNR Alpha 6. I have been doing a fresh install on my Dell Mini 9 (Inspiron 910) each time. Logging out and back in does not restore the vertical scrolling. Only a complete reboot brings the scrolling back for a short time. Let me know if I can add anything else to help. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: fails scroll touchpad vertical ** Description changed: - Shortly after a boot up of Ubuntu Netbook Remix 9.10 beta the vertical + Shortly after a boot up of Ubuntu Netbook Remix 9.04 beta the vertical scroll ability of the touchpad no longer functions.
