Public bug reported:

Buy a new graphic card
Place it in your PC case
Start Ubuntu
> Ubuntu automatically deals with it

Buy a 2nd hard drive
Place it in your PC case
Start Ubuntu
> Ubuntu doesn't even know there is a new hard drive

Then user has to google its problem and people will say him to format
the new drive with gparted then to key strange things like "sudo
mkdir...", "sudo chmod 777...", to modify the /etc/fstab file... GOOD
LUKE !

Ideally, a graphical tool (gparted ?) should care about all that : disk
formatting & mounting.
