I can't reproduce this bug anymore using live CDs of Ubuntu 9.10 or
Ubuntu 10.04 Alpha 3. I only get one floppy disk drive (what should be
with my hardware).
As it seems to be solved (please someone else confirm), could this bug
be closed?

I use Xubuntu 8.04.1 amd64 (64-bit)
I have this line in /etc/fstab :
/dev/fd0 /media/floppy0 auto rw,user,noauto,exec,utf8 0 0
Floppy drive read-write and vfat recognising forks for me without problem.
Only problem that I see is that writing on FDD is not done right away
but floppy is not written
I can also confirm this bug with Edgy (final) with latest updates (as of today).
I have 'Floppy 1' (apparently not working at all) and 'Floppy Drive", with just
one hardware floppy drive.
