On my Intrepid set to spanish, what should have displayed á é í ó ú
showed up as ´a ´e ´i ´o ´u respectively in text boxes inside web pages
in Opera and in Pidgin. I solved it unchecking the "complex character
support" check box in 'System' -> 'Administration' -> 'Language Support'
and restarting m
