I have the same error, I can use the camera for some time and then
receive this error. I'm using Logitech C525, uvcvideo driver and a
vanillia 3.7.1 kernel.

Here is the output from dmesg when cheese fails on my laptop under KDE.
It starts with
[613591.929752] uvcvideo: device USB2.0 Camera requested null bandwidth,
defaulting to lowest.
[613591.930239] cheese: page allocation failure. order:5, mode:0x8000
and gets worse :)

I have the same problem her with cheese and gstreamer-properties but
luvciew works fine.

skype can use my webcam without trouble.

When I log ınto xterm and launch cheese from there, ıt works; but when I
log ınto Xfce ıt shows the mentıoned error message.

I have the same problem with Jaunty on an HP 6930p with the built in
"CKA7216" device. The webcam used to work on Intrepid.

When the problem occurs for me on my vaoi VGN-FW140E, it ususally works
fine right after a reboot, but then after not using the camera for a
while (a perhaps a standy/resume cycle), it stops working and gives the
error message.
