Running Ubuntu 9.04 Jaunty, latest updates applied, kernel
2.6.28-11-generic.

Using HP Pavillion DV7-1034ca Entertainment Notebook PC.

When I first boot up the computer it recognizes the battery fine.
However, if I put the computer to standby and then resume operation, the
battery is no longer detected.

cat /proc/acpi/battery/BAT0/state returns:
present:                 no

but acpi -a still detects AC power properly.
