Can you try test kernel from bug 314928 - it has helped with tearing
during flash playback for my 4500MHD laptop.

I can confirm this. Since update to jaunty, playback of flash videos is
a pain. Resetting the niceness of xorg to -10 improves the playback, but
it's still not good.
