Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-ati
Similar to bug #328531, except the entire system freezes. The Ubuntu boot splash screen displays fine, but when we get around to starting X, garbage is displayed on the screen, and the computer completely locks up. Tried the "xfix" option from the recovery menu, but this did not change anything. Just upgraded to Jaunty (beta).
