Public bug reported: dav...@enterprise:~$ lsb_release -rd Description: Ubuntu jaunty (development branch) Release: 9.04
dav...@enterprise:~$ apt-cache policy vlc vlc: Installed: 0.9.8a-1ubuntu4 Candidate: 0.9.8a-1ubuntu4 Version table: *** 0.9.8a-1ubuntu4 0 500 http://ftp.iinet.net.au jaunty/multiverse Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status I expect to double-click and get fullscreen. I double click and full screen goes black after flickering briefly. Cannot quit VLC with Ctrl+Q Cannot restart X with Ctrl+Alt+Backspace. Cannot get to a TTY with Alt+F1 Cannot reboot with Ctrl+Alt+Delete ... finally have to do a hardware reboot. This happens quite consistently, after every reboot. On the bright side this is slightly better than in Intrepid where vlc would crash on load with Compiz enabled (default on clean install)... not sure if that's related here. I'm running this on a fresh install of 9.04b with a few software updates (see versions above)... I'm also using the ATI FGLRX video driver. I've tried with several files, all of which work on another (intrepid) machine I have. ** Affects: compiz Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Affects: vlc (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- machine freezes requiring reboot on fullscreen https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/360568 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
