I wanted to report that my resume trouble was due to a bad setting for
the Power button. I will try the backports again.

Installing linux-backports-modules-jaunty made it so that I cannot
resume from suspend. When I resume, my keyboard doesn't work. I
usually hit the power button to put the computer to sleep. After I
installed the backports, the power button hibernates the machine.

Thanks for this backport-stuff! The package fixed the same problems on a
Asus eee 1000he. (The ath9k module fails to reconnect after power up
from suspend or hibernate)
Btw: the computer is running the latest Ubuntu Netbook Remix.

linux-backports-modules-jaunty seems to have fixed the problem. Thank

With regard to other questions:
I don't know why it said 8.10. I am running 9.04 which I did a dist-upgrade
to from 8.10. I misunderstood what the backports was. I thought it was for
putting jaunty modules into

and attach your dmesg output after you suspend and resume?
I also just noticed the bug description mentions "DistroRelease: Ubuntu
8.10", are you running the Jaunty kernel from an Intrepid install? If
