I have since formatted my computer and installed Ubuntu x86 from the
alternate install CD. Same issue. Reformatted again with 64-bit
alternate CD and issue remails. My compiz hotkeys appear to have
nothing set. Also tried on a different computer, freshly installed from
the Ubuntu x86 desktop CD
I was seeing a similar problem, but I figured out what I was doing wrong. On
my system my window manager, compiz, was capturing the keypress and it was
launching the gnome-terminal. By changing which terminal compiz launches, I am
getting the correct terminal started when I press my hotkey.
