I attached some files to complete the report. I don't have any /proc/signature_version file so I used my /proc/version. The fields "Capabilities:" of the lspci-vvnn.log file change after the key is connected (and the error messages become visible). They all assume the value <access denied>. I asked in #ubuntu-bugs to set the importance to Medium.
