3670. Running clean install of Ubuntu Jaunty Jackelope with all updates

When attempting to resume from suspend or hibernate, the system hangs
showing a black screen and a cursor. Cursor and all commands are

You shouldn't need to disable the ATI driver. It is possible this
problem has more to do with Compiz than FGLRX, as discussed here:

Try disabling all desktops effects, or try running "metacity --replace"
at a terminal. Suspend/Resume sho
