Public bug reported: I've got a ICH6 audio card and just upgraded to jaunty. My soundcard is recognized and playing music works fine , though I cannot control volume via the mixer applet or alsamixer but mute or unmute the sound. I already tried position_fix=1 and model=(auto|full_dig|6stack-digout) without success.
