I just installed 9.04 on my Dell Latitude 6500 and got no audio at all.
When booting the 2.6.28-11 kernel, all the hardware appears to be
present and working but still there is no audible output on either the
speakers or the headphone connectors. Booting 2.6.27-11 makes everythign
work fine. For comparison, I ran alsa-info.sh on both kernel versions;
