Public bug reported: After an update yesterday (on the evening of Saturday April 18th EDT, 2009) compiz has stopped working.
During the day, both the Kernel and various compiz packages were updated. I restarted at the very end of the day (so I didn't restart when the Kernel told me to, rather after both updates had been installed) I now have no composited functionality. Terminal returns: ch...@davinci:~$ compiz --replace Checking for Xgl: not present. xset q doesn't reveal the location of the log file. Using fallback /var/log/Xorg.0.log Blacklisted PCIID '8086:2a02' found aborting and using fallback: /usr/bin/metacity I am using the latest build of Ubuntu 9.04 32 bit on a Dell Inspiron 1525 laptop with a Core2Duo 2.2 ghz processor, 4 GB of RAM and integrated video from Intel that worked absolutely - without fail - perfectly yesterday morning. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Compiz doesn't work with Kernel, compiz update https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/363832 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
