I'm not sure if it only applies to Banshee media player. If you click on
the banshee icon in the notification area and you already have Banshee
opened on some other workspace, the current workspace will change to
that with the Banshee on it.. UNLESS you have other application in
focus. This means the current workspace won't change, until you click on
the desktop (make current window unfocused). Hope this make sense.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Open Banshee media player on workspace 1
2. Switch to second workspace (or any other workspace)
3. Open some application (i.e. gedit)
4. Click on the banshee icon in the notification area - nothing happens
5. Click on the desktop and then on the banshee icon - the workspace will 
switch to workspace 1

This happens with compiz enabled. The workaround is disabling focus
stealing prevention completely (low is not enough)
