Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: quick-lounge-applet

quick-lounge-applet installed and (after much hunting in the applets
list) added (one to each of my 2 panels) and configured to hold about 5
links each.

The oddity comes if I log out and back in again: the applets are still
on the panels (I can see the throbber/handle for each applet), but there
is no other indication that the applets are actually there (no icons /
arrow). Right-clicking on the throbber/handle does nothing: the
preferences dialog does not appear.

Restarting gnome-panel with a "killall gnome-panel" from a console
causes the applets to re-appear in working order.

I must admit that I am perhaps using the applet in an untested fashion:
I have them configured with max and min columns set to zero and rows set
to 1. I particularly wanted something which behaved a bit like the
drawer applet but which gave me a menu with text (which quick-lounge-
applet does, quite nicely), not just a selection of icons (as per the
drawer applet).

Please notify me if there is more information I can provide -- I know
that this report isn't exactly brimming with technical info or error
messages.

General requested information:
system: Ubuntu 9.04 64bit
package: quick-lounge-applet 2.13.1-0ubuntu1
expected: applet to start at login as it was configured
happened: applet appears with no icons and remains unresponsive until
gnome-panel is restarted (and the applet obviously reloaded)

** Affects: quick-lounge-applet (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
