I will add a me-too on this one. System was fine on intrepid. The only difference is that my card is a: 01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: ATI Technologies Inc RV350 [Mobility Radeon 9600 M10] I made these changes to xorg.conf Option "XAANoOffscreenPixmaps" "true" Option "ColorTiling"
