I have the same problem, I would like to use interfaces file with
wpa_supplicant at system startup (for always connected / user session
connection independance ) and also I need a second wired connection
shared with other computers at system level, so I configureg a static
wireless network in
I'm also experiencing this.
I.e. if one NIC (whether wired or wireless) is declared as static
/etc/network/interfaces,
then I can't create a *system* connection with nm-connection-editor for the
other NIC.
I'm able to create user connections, i.e. without checking the Available to
all users
