That's already fixed in 1.3. You can safely disable the logs module.
That doesn't mean your services won't stop logging, that means that you
wont be able to see service logs through the eBox interface.

I'm experiencing this issue as well. It seems to be universal on
Jaunty. Perhaps the ebox package should be removed from stable?

Thanks for the report. I've just created a ticket in our trac [0]. I'll
be working on fixing this issue soon. In the meanwhile you can disable
the log daemon in Module status.
