confirmed on my system also, follows is the cli output:
xxx...@amd64:/media/truecrypt1$ xfmedia -v
E: shm.c: shm_open() failed: Permission denied
Segmentation fault
x...@amd64:/media/$ tail -n1 /var/log/messages
May 10 09:16:21 amd64 kernel: [481546.403804] xfmedia[22756]: segfault at
74727f
Running xfmedia as root doesn't cause segmentation fault. I had exactly
the same problem when i updated from hardy to intrepid.

Thanks for helping improve Xubuntu and Xfce. This has been reported to

Please do not assign bugs to anyone unless advised by the developers to
do so, then make sure you state so in a comment. Being able to confirm
it does not mean that team will be the one fixing it.
