It happened again today after starting up my laptop after a few days of
rest (Tuesday, after a Bank Holiday Monday). I strongly suspect either
evince or cups is the culprit as it happened while I gave the command to
print a pdf. After a reboot printing etc. went fine again.
** Also affects: evince
Just to add, the other days of the week I either leave the laptop
running over night, or have it suspend.
