understand, why is in Karmic Koala xserver, mesa etc.. with this bug! Users
with old hardware are not important? Such as Intel user 6 month ago... I am

am facing following situation:
(1) Default Karmic Koala driver is not working properly on my desktop.
(2) My children have been asking "Why Supertux is not running? Why does Google
Earth crash? When will be our compute
I have ATI Radeon 9200SE running now on 9.10 Karmic Koala RC. I
experienced significant performance drop comparing to Intrepid or Jaunty
with proprietary driver which is not offered in Karmic Koala. I believe
acceleration is not working with default Karmic driver. Simple gear test
gives about 400 F
Since the hardware is no longer available for doing troubleshooting
with, we'll close the bug for now. However please feel free to reopen
if you or anyone else has the same HW and can reproduce this issue using
the latest development version of Ubuntu and is willing to do some

A new version of the -ati driver is now available in Karmic.
This is a significant update to -ati which brings in kernel mode-setting
(currently disabled) and scores of fixes for DRI2, EXA, etc.
