Hi, There are two concerns I have with this patch. Firstly, it moves it from only supporting things like sysv-rc to only supporting upstart. Can it be made to detect what to do when installed? Then we wouldn't have to potentially carry this change for ever. The second is the postinst. I'm not su

I think I am just smacking into this issue today. I was very confused why daemontools was reporting that it was not running, even after a reboot. Finally I found this page: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DaemontoolsUpstartConfig which at least got the service started with: #start daemontools daemontools
