Still the same tried the roll back to 2.4 but no joy still the same
performance after alot of tweaking to even get it to work, have reverted
back to 8.10 as I require dualhead for my job.

I've looked at that already and I don't think it's related to another
application, I actually think it is due to the virtual screen size, even if the
second display isn't in use it still will enable the virtual screen size to
what is set in the xorg.conf which was Virtual1400 2074 when I
